One-Pot Sausage and Peppers
One-Pot Sausage and Peppers, this is one of my all-time favorite recipes when I don’t feel like spending a lot of time in the kitchen or putting a lot of effort into thinking! LOL This is a super easy dish, it is one of those recipes that you will want to put on repeat because it is so good, and crazy easy!
Ingredients to make One-Pot Sausage and Peppers:
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Red Bell Pepper sliced thick, (225 grams)
- 1 Orange Bell Pepper sliced thick, (225 grams)
- 1 Yellow Bell Pepper sliced thick, (225 grams)
- 1 Green Bell Pepper sliced thick, (225 grams)
- 1 Jalapeno sliced thick, (20 grams)
- 1 Yellow Onion sliced thick, (250 grams)
- 2 cups White Mushrooms sliced thick, (300 grams)
- 8 links Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage sliced into bite-size pieces
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added (1, 14½ oz can)
- ¼ tsp Sea Salt
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- ¼ tsp Red Pepper Flake
Instructions:
- Heat a large stovetop pan with a lid to medium heat.
- Once the pan is hot add your oil, peppers, and onions to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes stirring every minute or so.
- After 5 minutes add your mushrooms to the pan. Stir everything together, then cover with a lid and cook for 5 more minutes. Stir halfway through and be sure to recover with the lid.
- Now add your sliced sausage, can of tomatoes, and season everything with salt, peppers, garlic, and red pepper flake. Stir everything together, then cover with a lid and cook for the remaining 5 minutes. Stirring halfway through again.
- Now it is time to serve! Sprinkle with a little additional red pepper flake and enjoy!
