Sloppy Joes

  • Heat a large skillet with lid to medium heat. Once the pan is hot add the oil, onions and garlic to the pan. Cook the onions and garlic, stirring frequently, until they begin to soften, about 3 minutes.
  • Then add the ground beef to the pan. Using a heavy spatula or spoon, chop up the ground beef, mixing it in with the garlic and onions. Stir everything together, cooking for about 5 minutes, until the meat is just about cooked, and chopped up into smaller pieces.
  • Next add all the additional ingredients: tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard, worchestershire, cholula, red pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until well combined. About 2 minutes. Then cover with a lid and allow to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent burning.
  • After 10 minute remove the sloppy joe meat from the heat and serve on the thin sandwich rolls, or any roll of your choice. Or portion out for meal prep.
Sloppy Joes, great for kinds but with the right flavoring even adults will love this dish!
